Les Jongleurs

Les Jongleurs, is a granite sculpture of two musicians by Caroline Vincent erected in the pedestrian precinct at Snow Hill by the Jersey Public Sculpture Trust in 1996.

Royal Square, St Helier

In the Royal Square stands the gilded statue of King George II. It was erected in 1751, in what had been for many years the Market Square. The Square was renamed Royal Square in honour of the King (and the statue) and in gratitude for his contribution towards building the harbour.

Queen Victoria in Triangle Park

A statue of Queen Victoria formerly stood in the centre of a circular garden in the middle of the Weighbridge bus station. In 1976 the statue was moved to the Triangle Park alongside the Grand Hotel at West Park. The park was officially renamed Victoria Park but islanders have steadfastly remained true to the original name of this triangular area of grass. The statue stands 7 feet high on a plinth of La Moye granite which is carved with the Queen's monogram surrounded by a crown. The inscription "Erigé par le peuple" (erected by the people) is at the base and the two sides bear the dates 1837 and 1887 to signify Victoria's Golden Jubilee.

Charing Cross

The Toad is a monument erected at Charing Cross in 2004, as part of the commemoration of the octocentenary of Jersey's status of Crown Dependency, and in memory of the presence on the site between 1698 and 1812 of the island's prison. The monument, created by Gordon Young, consists of a 9-foot tall column of polished Jersey granite into which is carved extracts from the Code Le Geyt of 1698 concerning crimes and applicable punishments. On top of the column is a Jersey crapaud - the site was originally marsh land, and the numerous toad colonies in the area are the source of the nickname commonly applied to Jersey people.

In front of The Toad is the motorbike belonging to Vladimir Yarets, a native of Minsk (Belarus). He is aiming at a Guinness Book world record to be the first deaf person to do a round the world trip on a motorbike. In 2007 he was in Auckland, New Zealand. According to a 2006 report

"Fish and chips on benches at the "bomb site" at Charing Cross could make way for the restoration of an old part of St Helier ... The States decided that it was more important to restore the "little historic gem" around Charing Cross than it was to retain the vacant site as open space. ... St Helier Constable Simon Crowcroft asked Members to agree that the empty site on the intersection of York Street and Dumaresq Street should stay. ... He called the site a small square and suggested it be reinvented with trees, a new mural and perhaps a large chess board. ... but Members voted 33 to 11 against designating the area an important open space. ... They said that allowing building on the site could be the catalyst for the restoration of the old buildings in Dumaresq Street.

Recollection is an ornamental fountain at Gorey designed by Cyril Warren in 1976.

The stone reads:

RECOLLECTION
THIS SYMBOLIC KEEL
RECALLS THE
NINETEENTH CENTURY
SHIPYARDS
OF GOREY

Engraved on the sides of the keel are the names of 16 of the largest ships built at Gorey when ship construction was a thriving industry in the area during the 18th century. The idea of the fountain is to recall those days. The keel is laid on bricks possibly as old as Gorey's shipbuilding industry. They were taken from the old prison at Newgate Street.
