Southampton Hotel

The sign on the front of this 1899 hotel says "Ask for Mary Ann".

See a closer view on my photoblog sithenah.

The reference is not to the landlady but the local brew.

I've been informed that "The States of Jersey have given planning permission to knock this building down and replace it with an office block".

For signs, signs.

Seems a shame to tear it down!

This is a beautiful, old hotel which I'm sure will be a great loss. Too bad these historic classy buildings are being torn down. So, I'm intrigued by your brew, Mary Ann. Is it a lager, ale, porter, or something different? How about some tasting notes. Love good beers.
