Noirmont Point

The headland known as Noirmont Point was acquired by the States of Jersey on behalf of the public in commemoration of those men and women of Jersey who perished in the Second World War 1939-1945.

A contribution to ABC Wednesday.

A fitting tribute - a piece of the land that they perished to save. Those of us in England should read the history of Jersey during the War and hang our heads in shame at how you were deserted.

Looks like it would make a wonderful memorial. I will have to research, I don't know anything about this--
