I've been learning some English history and geography since I moved to New Zealand, which includes your channel islands. I find it quite fascinating. Thanks for the photo.
I am amazed at how you managed to blog from 2 places. Without googling the distance between Hyde and Jersey, would you mind posting a map..thanks :)

As you know I tried to comment and have tested 3 times via Fire fox; which is my default browser.
This 4th attempt is done through Avant browser, my secondary browser. I have no idea why fire fox didn't work, and I could see that it wasn't due to my personal security setting...
All my photos of Jersey were taken one week in October 2010 and first appeared on Geograph Channel Isle - see the Copyright notice at the bottom of the blog.

Great shot of this historical spot. Thanks for sharing!
An interesting, moody view of a gateway to legends!
Thank you so much for linking to my new meme Scenic Weekends!
The channel islands would be a plalce we'd love to visit. And would definitely include a visit to this historical museum.
