How many people still speak Jèrriais?

I feel dumb but have never heard of Jerrias.

I've always thought Jersey would be an interesting place to visit.
Having new and old street names must get more than a little confusing. Already I am wondering how la rue de derriere became King St!

I did not know that Jersey had its own language, but then I never thought about it before.
I remember being surprised that the streets in Brussels had entirely different names in French and Dutch, with bilingual signs (at least in the centre of the city. I am imagining that St Helier is the same way?
